Minister of Education calls for collective effort to improve education in Ghana

Dr. Yaw Adutwum, the Minister of Education, has urged traditional leaders (Nananom), parents, and all Ghanaians to collectively elevate the level of education in the country.

He emphasized that the government is diligently working towards making education a top priority for every Ghanaian child. In this regard, initiatives such as the Free Senior High School Policy and STEM Education have been introduced to enhance students’ performance.

The Minister urged parents to actively contribute to their children’s education and cautioned District and Municipal Directors of Education to ensure proper supervision of teachers and uphold important educational values.

Dr. Adutwum made these statements during the inauguration of the University of Cape Coast Annex in Agona Nyarkrom, located in the Agona West Municipal of the Central Region.

Professor Johnson Yanko Boampong, the Vice Chancellor of UCC, expressed gratitude to the Nananom of Agona Nyarkrom and past Vice Chancellors of UCC who initiated the project.

He further encouraged the staff to diligently maintain the facility to fulfill its purpose effectively.
