Joe Ghartey, the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Essikadu-Ketan Constituency, has taken a significant step in his political journey as he officially submitted his nomination forms for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
With a vision to drive positive change and elevate the nation to new heights, Mr. Ghartey has made a resolute commitment to transform the country.
During his media address, Lawyer Joe Ghartey expressed that the act of filing his nomination forms reinforces his strong aspiration to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the upcoming 2024 elections.
In response, Mr. Evans Nimako, the Director of Elections for the NPP, conveyed to Joe Ghartey that they are one united entity, symbolized by the elephant, and emphasized the importance of solidarity and collective efforts in securing success in the 2024 elections.
Mr. Ghartey, renowned for his legal expertise and previous role as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, has demonstrated his determination to guide the Party towards a new path.
His vision encompasses providing equal opportunities for all individuals, irrespective of their economic status, social background, religious affiliation, or ethnic identity.
He emphasized that during his tenure as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General under President John Agyekum Kufuor’s Administration, Mr. Ghartey introduced the impactful ‘Justice For All’ program.
This initiative, according to him, played a significant role in granting freedom to numerous prisoners across the country.
Mr. Ghartey, in addition to his past roles as Minister of Railways Development and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, is striving to invigorate the Party’s supporters and provide young individuals with opportunities to contribute to the nation’s progress.
He added that many NPP constituency executives across the nation regard Mr. Joe Ghartey as the most promising candidate to lead the Party to victory in the 2024 General Elections and foster a more prosperous nation that benefits all Ghanaians.
