The Inaugural International Convention of Africans in Diaspora (ICAD) Conference 2023 has been officially launched, heralding a momentous gathering that bridges the gap between Africans in the Diaspora and their homeland.

This much-anticipated conference will take place in multiple locations across the United States of America, including Chicago, Maryland, and New York, as well as in Ghana in December 2023.

Under the theme “Unveiling the Hidden Truth,” the ICAD Conference aims to shed light on untold narratives and foster dialogue surrounding the historical legacies of slavery and its impact on contemporary society.

Speaking at the prestigious Ga Mantse Palace in Accra during the launch, Bishop Dr. Charles Abban, President of the International Clergy Association, expressed his optimism that the conference would serve as a catalyst for tourism, cultural exchange, and stronger ties between the Diaspora and Ghana.

The ICAD Conference is organized by the International Clergy Association (ICA) and Diaspora Legacy, with generous sponsorship from Bishop Dr. Charles Abban, the esteemed CEO of The Rock Hospital in Accra and founder of the International Clergy Association (ICA).

Bishop Dr. Charles Abban emphasized that the conference program will delve deep into the historical intricacies of the transatlantic slave trade, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of its causes and consequences, thus facilitating healing, reconciliation, and a shared vision for a brighter future.
