NPP Flagbearer Race: Kennedy Ohene Agyapong files nomination forms; promise to reduce unemployment

On June 21, 2023, Kennedy Agyapong, the member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region, took a significant step in his political career as he submitted his completed forms to compete for the presidential slot within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which is the party currently in power.

In a show of support, Kennedy Agyapong was accompanied by numerous followers, including both current and former party officials, as well as youth group activists who resonate with his vision. Together, they gathered at the NPP headquarters in Asylum down Accra to present his completed forms for the presidential candidacy.

Following the submission, Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong addressed the media and expressed his commitment to tackling unemployment in the country.

He promised to prioritize efforts aimed at reducing unemployment rates if given the opportunity to lead.

Kennedy Agyapong, having served as a Member of Parliament for the past 23 years, acknowledges that one of the key challenges faced by the current government and previous administrations is unemployment.

Recognizing the significance of this issue, he is determined to utilize every means available to him to address and alleviate unemployment in the country.

With his experience and commitment to public service, he aims to implement measures that will lead to a reduction in unemployment rates.

In his address to the party supporters, Kennedy Agyapong expressed his unwavering commitment to the people of Ghana. He assured them that he has personally taken up the responsibility to actively work towards reducing unemployment in the country.

By making this pledge, he aims to instill confidence in Ghanaians that he is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of unemployment and will prioritize it if given the opportunity to serve.

“I want those of you watching to believe in me that whatever I say, by the Grace of God and with good health, I will deliver,” he reiterated.
