Presidential aspirant Afriyie Akoto has successfully submitted his nomination forms today, June 19, 2023, to compete in the presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
By filing his nomination forms, Afriyie Akoto officially enters the race for the NPP presidential candidacy, demonstrating his ambition to lead the party in the upcoming elections.
During the submission of his nomination forms, Afriyie Akoto was accompanied by a group of supporters and party officials. The entourage included 22 constituency chairmen from the Greater Accra Region, highlighting a significant level of regional support.
Notable figures among his team included Alfred Boye, a former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the party, who served as his Campaign Chairman. Additionally, KEN-WUUD Nuworsu, a former Volta Regional Chairman of the party, joined as Co-Campaign Chairman.
Other key individuals present were Peter Oteng Darko, the National Campaign Coordinator, and various Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, Farmers, friends, and loved ones who showed their support for Afriyie Akoto’s presidential aspirations.
The nomination forms submitted by Afriyie Akoto were received by two officials from the party. Williams Yamoah, the Director for Finance and Administration, and Evans Nimako, the Director of Election, were responsible for accepting and overseeing the submission process.
In his address to the media following the submission of his nomination forms, Afriyie Akoto expressed confidence in his ability to bring about significant positive change in Ghana’s agricultural sector, which he sees as a crucial foundation for transforming the country’s economic fortunes.
He emphasized his track record and expertise in the agricultural field, highlighting his vision for agricultural development and the potential impact it can have on Ghana’s overall economy.
