Mr. Patrick Quainoo, the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed a strong belief that no independent candidate can diminish the party’s vote share in the constituency.
During his media address, Mr. Patrick Quainoo reiterated that individuals have the freedom to pursue an independent candidacy; however, he emphasized that such a decision would not impact the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 general elections in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency.
Mr. Quainoo confidently stated that the NDC is poised to reclaim the Sefwi Wiawso seat with a substantial margin. He expressed his unwavering belief in the party’s strength, popularity, and support within the constituency.
“We cannot prevent anyone from going independent, but the truth is that, it won’t affect our victory in 2024. We shall reclaim the Sefwi Wiawso seat from the NPP with huge margin”, he noted.
In addition, Mr. Patrick Quainoo emphasized that the candidature of John Dramani Mahama, a prominent figure within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), would have a significant impact on the party’s electoral prospects. He stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fears John Dramani Mahama and the influence he holds.
“Whether you go to court or whatever they do, John Dramani Mahama will win the 2024 general elections. The NPP fears the John Mahama candidature and perhaps trying to use dubious means to discredit him, but we want to assure Ghanaians that we are on a rescue mission, so they should support the NDC to win the elections”, he affirmed.
