The farmers, residents, and Okada riders in the Amansie District have expressed their deep concerns regarding the damaged bridge over the Oda river along the Watreso-Obuasi road.

They have highlighted how this deteriorated infrastructure has significantly impacted their daily activities and business operations in the area.

During the interview with Otec FM news reporter Simon opoku Afriyie, the farmers, residents, and Okada riders expressed their frustrations over the adverse effects of the damaged bridge on movement and transportation of farm produce.

They highlighted how the poor condition of the bridge has significantly impeded their ability to transport their agricultural goods to the market.

The farmers also emphasized that the bridge’s state not only delays the transportation process but also negatively impacts the quality and freshness of their perishable goods. This situation, according to them, has directly affected their income and livelihoods.

The farmers, residents, and Okada riders are urgently appealing to the government for immediate intervention regarding the damaged bridge.

They emphasize that the situation is beyond their individual capacities to address and requires the resources and expertise of the government.

They are requesting that the government allocate the necessary funds and resources to repair or reconstruct the bridge over the Oda river.
