Concern Members of CPP calls for reorganization on the path towards winning political power

The Concern Members of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) have expressed their concern and called on the leadership of the party, as well as the Congress and Vetting Committees, to prioritize the organization of grassroots structures.

They believe that this is crucial for positioning the party on the path towards winning political power.

During a press conference held today, June 15, 2023, Mr. Kwadwo Afari Yeboah, the former Deputy General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), emphasized the importance of the central committee’s role in organizing the party’s congress and reorganization efforts. He stressed the need for timely execution of these activities, particularly from the polling station level to the constituency level.

Mr. Kwadwo Afari Yeboah, during the press conference, also urged the flagbearer aspirants of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) to align themselves with the calls made by the party’s rank and file for well-organized party structures, starting from the polling station level.

During a press conference, Mr. Sylvester Sarpong Soprano, the Communication Director of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), emphasized the importance of unity and collective action among party members.

He called on all CPP members to set aside their individual differences and come together as a unified force to advance the best interests of Ghana.

Mr. Sylvester Sarpong Soprano expressed his belief that for the CPP to assume the seat of government, it would require the support of the Ghanaian electorate through legal means, which is by voting in large numbers for the party.

He acknowledged that winning the presidency and forming a government is contingent upon the trust and mandate given by the people through the democratic process of elections.

Mr. Sylvester Sarpong Soprano, the Communication Director of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), emphasized the need for the youth of Ghana to actively participate in shaping the future of the country’s politics. He urged the youth to take ownership of their collective destiny and work towards changing the trajectory of Ghanaian politics.

He called on the youth to join forces with the CPP, recognizing it as a viable alternative to the traditional parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Soprano criticized what he referred to as “family and friends governance monopoly” that has been perpetuated by both the NPP and NDC. He urged the youth to help break this cycle of nepotism and patronage politics by supporting the CPP.
