The nursing staff at the Manso Mpatuam CHP Compound has made an appeal for the development of staff housing and the expansion of the facility in order to enhance healthcare services.
Mpatuam, situated in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region, is a rapidly expanding agricultural community with a sizable population.
During an interview with Otec FM news reporter Simon Opoku Afriyie on June 13, 2023, Mr. Prince Boakye, a Physician Assistant, expressed that the healthcare facility fails to adequately cater to the requirements of the increasing population.
The healthcare facility is deficient in essential amenities such as a maternity ward, adequate beds, and staff accommodation.
According to Mr. Prince Boakye, the implementation of a maternity block and other necessary facilities would significantly enhance the delivery of services.
He appealed to the government, non-governmental organizations, and philanthropists to extend their support to the CHP Compound, as it would effectively address the escalating healthcare demands of the community.
On his part, Honorable Anthony Amankwaah, the Assembly member of the Mpatuam West electoral area, mentioned that measures have been taken to address the prevailing challenges.
He took the opportunity to urge both local and overseas citizens to lend their support in order to enhance healthcare delivery and promote the well-being of the community in the area.
