Asante Akim Domeabra Manhene commends Bawumia for supporting developmental projects in the area

The Omanhene of Asante Akim Domeabra in the Ashanti Region, Baffour Owusu Bediako, expressed his appreciation and commendation to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his commitment to supporting the developmental projects in Domeabra.

The projects mentioned include the improvement of township roads, the palace, and various other initiatives aimed at advancing the development of Domeabra.

The Omanhene acknowledged Dr. Bawumia’s pledge as a positive step towards enhancing the infrastructure and overall progress of the community.

Paramount Chief Baffour Owusu Bediako of the Domeabra Traditional Council expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the attendees and individuals who made contributions towards his project.

During the Akwasidae celebration, the Paramount Chief, Baffour Owusu Bediako, took the opportunity to address the attendees and conduct a symbolic sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a proposed palace in the Domeabra community.

The Akwasidae celebration provided a significant platform for the Paramount Chief to announce and initiate this important development project, demonstrating the community’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage and enhancing its infrastructure.

The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries from across the country, including Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who attended as a representative of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Also in attendance were Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, the Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, chiefs from various regions, and other notable personalities from the vicinity.

In his speech on behalf of the Vice President, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu made a pledge to address the abandoned projects in the area, with a particular emphasis on the poor road network.

He acknowledged the significant threat posed by the deteriorating roads to the lives of the community members and assured the attendees that immediate action would be taken to attend to and repair the road network, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and ensuring the safety and well-being of the inhabitants.

In a show of support for the proposed palace, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, representing the Vice President, pledged assistance by donating 600 bags of cement and other essential items.

Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, Chief of Agric Nzema, attended the occasion representing Otumfour, and showed his support for the proposed palace project. He made a generous contribution of GHC 20,000, as well as the presentation of Kente cloth and other valuable items.
