Mantrac Ghana Limited has donated some educational items to Kodiwohia Basic School in Kenyasi in the Asutifi North District.
Mantrac Ghana Limited is a sole dealer in caterpillar products in Ghana and some parts of the world.
They emerged as winners in the CEO Partners in Safety Award, with a cash prize of $5,000 dollars for a corporate social responsibility activity in any part of the world.
For this reason, Kodiwohia Basic School, a performing government school in Kenyasi in the Asutifi North District was lucky to be selected by the company to support them with educational materials.
According to the Company Project Manager for Ahafo South, Mr. Patrick Abonebe said they did this as part of their social responsibility to contribute to the development of communities of their catchment areas and beyond and also, to respond to the school’s request for educational support from the company.
Items delivered were textbook, pen, pencils, erasers, rulers, etc., which was worth GHC 54, 330.
The Assemblyman for the Electoral Area, Hon. Issifu Ibrahim, popularly known as Yaaro Grumah advised the school authority to take good care of the materials for efficient usage.
And finally the Headmistress of the school, Madam Joyce Konadu Frimpong showed appreciate and asked for more help in order to equip the school for better.
