Hope in Messiah Needy Foundation donates wheelchairs to persons with disability

A Kumasi-based Non-Governmental Organization, Hope in Messiah Needy Foundation has reached out to 37 persons with disabilities by donating wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, and hampers to 37 persons with disability at Abufuor in the Offinso South Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Saturday, 10th June, 2023.

According to the director of Hope in Messiah Needy Foundation, Rev. Adu-Boahen said that the organization is committed to helping persons living with disabilities go about their everyday routine with less difficulty and continuously reminding them that being disabled is not an inability.

The organization also conducted a free health screening for the persons with disabilities to check up on their health and to identify hidden diseases.

“We just want to encourage the people with disability that their disability is an inability, therefore, it should not stop them from going about their day-to-day activities,” he added.

He urged them to take care good of the items been given to them and to use them for their intended purposes.

Some of the beneficiaries who received the items expressed their gratitude to the management of Hope in Messiah Needy Foundation for the gesture and promised to work hard to be great people in society.
