The Amankorahene of Aboabo No.1, Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi has called on the government to pay attention to economic activities in the various rural areas, prioritize, and resource them to boost national income.
According to him, the country has gone a long way to depend on donors, grants, and even loans to cushion our annual budget whiles we have some economic activities that will help improve our budget if only the government resource them.
Nana Kwabena Siaw Sakyi who is also the Manager of Sustainable Development Goldfields Ghana Ltd in Takwa made this call when he was installed as Aboabo No.1 Amankorahene in the Dormaa Central Municipality in the Bono Region.
He, however, pleaded with the government to come to their aid and complete the cocoa road that links Aboabo No. 1 to Dormaa-Ahenkro which was almost completed in last administration.
According to Nana, they are still relying on the government so they will not join masses in chanting ‘no road no vote’ thus, want it fixed before election 2024.
