The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua says NPP is focused on winning the by-election at Assin North, scheduled on June 27, 2023.
Charles Opoku pulled 397 out of the total votes cast to beat his contender, Frederick Freeman Amoah-Kyei, who pulled only 136 votes in the primaries which was conducted yesterday, June 7, 2023.
Addressing the media after the victory, Justin Frimpong Kodua indicated that the NPP is going to start campaigning immediately in order to secure the seat.
He called on supporters to be united because no candidate was imposed on them but rather, they were allowed to choose their preferred candidate.
