The 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bibiani Anwhiaso Bekwai Constituency, Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo has visited victims of the fire disaster that occurred at the Bibiani College of Health Science at Anwhiaso.

He visited the school on Wednesday, 7th June, 2023, with some constituency executives led by the Chairman, Nana Yaw Barimah; the constituency Secretary, Joseph Ayambilla, and other party functionaries and sympathizers.

Hon. Brefo interacted with the school leadership, students, lecturers, and other ancillary staff to sympathize with them on their losses.

He urged them to stay calm as plans are underway to make sure the school come back to normalcy and making sure all necessary needs of the students are attended to with all alacrity by all stakeholders involved.

Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo also interacted with the fire officers present to obtain first-hand information on the cause of the fire and finding lasting solution to prevent future occurrences of such disasters in educational institutions.

Leadership of the school, students, staff, and other people expressed their gratitudes to the Aspiring Member of Parliament and his team for the concern shown to them.

Hon. Brefo promised to revisit them with a very more stronger team to seek to the upliftment of the school to greater heights.

The fire disaster, which occurred on 6th June, 2023, at the Bibiani College of Health Science has destroyed many belongings of students.

There were no casualties recorded because the incident occurred while students were in their classrooms studying thus, the school requires immediate attention to restore normalcy for academic and other activities.
