National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program outlines 5 years strategic plan

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah has stated that his agency have developed a five-year strategic plan and this plan outlines NEIP’s focus on being the enabler for innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship in Ghana.

Speaking at the maiden launch of of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week in Accra, the CEO of NEIP, Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah hinted that the NEIP is mandated to serve as a leading enabler for start-ups and innovation in Ghana.

According to him, National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), is the government’s special purpose vehicle for providing integrated national support for startups and small businesses.

He added that, the innovation and start-up ecosystem are significantly different from the MSME ecosystem, requiring a tailor-made framework to make meaningful impact in the Innovation Space.

He is, therefore, calling on the entire Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem to join hands to help pursue innovation management programmes.

This, according to him, will spur the growth of the private sector and translate into more jobs being created for the youth.
