Friday, 9th June 2023 marks this year’s edition of the Green Ghana Day, which will be commemorated across all regions in Ghana.
This year’s edition seeks to call on all citizens to embrace and support the planting of trees to restore dying forests in the country.
Addressing the media, the Bono East Regional Forestry Manager, Mr. Dickson Adjei Sakyi revealed that this exercise will take place in Bono Manso Water Falls, which is in the Bono East Region.
He stated that the aim is to plant about 150, 000 seedlings to commemorate this exercise, and these seedlings were donated by the government to ensure that the exercise goes as planned.
Mr. Dickson Adjei Sakyi also pleaded with Ghanaians to engage more in this exercise so this celebration will go on successfully.
