Headteacher of Wesco Practice/ Demonstration Schools at Krofrom in the Kumasi Metropolis, Mr. Joseph Kenneth Arthur has called on the government, old students, and other organizations to help build a toilet facility for the school.
Speaking during the official launch of the Wesco Demonstration Old Students’ Association Homecoming, he stated that the school, with a population of 3,200 pupils, was using an old toilet facility that was inadequate in serving its purpose.
He urged the government to provide security to avoid rampant attacks on their students on campus.
Mr. Joseph Kenneth Arthur made an urgent appeal to the government for the expansion of infrastructure in the school.
According to him, the ever-increasing student population does not commensurate with the current physical infrastructure for effective teaching and learning.
He also appealed to the government and other corporate entities to support school desks to improve teaching and learning.
One member of the Association, Madam Mercy Duah used the opportunity to appeal to the students to take their learning seriously.
She also charged parents and guardians to invest in their wards’ education rather than buying expensive clothes.
Vice Chairman and Committee Chairman of Wesco Practical/Demonstration Old Students Association Homecoming, Mr. Gilbert Ntim also urged his fellow old students of Wesco Practical/Demonstration Schools to come together to support their alma-mata.
