The Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Joseph Ayambilla has cautioned the government not to use the IMF loan for their upcoming elections.
Mr. Ayambilla is demanding specifics on what the first tranche of the International Monetary Fund (lMF) loan will be used for.
He, however, expressed his disbelief as to whether the NPP government is going to use the money for the right things with the inflows from the IMF.
“The truth of the matter is that the IMF bailout is going to make Ghanaians suffer when it comes to the economy. This, they’re not telling the people,” he noted.
Mr. Ayambilla described Ghana’s economic situation as chaotic.
“Whatever the NPP does, it is a sinking ship. John Dramani Mahama is the only hope to rescuing us from this sinking ship,” he claimed.
