Former Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan has launched his under-16 African football tournament.
Speaking during the press conference at Multichoice Ghana Office yesterday, May 22, 2023, he stated that people assume that he does not help upcoming football players in Ghana, which is not true.
The U16 African Football is aimed at unearthing young football talents in Africa.
He said that he helps young players build on their talents, however, he does it behind the scene.
Asamoah Gyan stresses that this team covers all African players, and not only Ghana as he wants to build more talents in Africa.
He added that the selection of his team was built on sponsors and he used the opportunity to thank all his sponsors for their support.
He is, therefore, appealing to all young footballers to take their career seriously as football is gradually becoming the deal of the day.
