Prempeh College Old Students, North America Chapter, Has Handed Over Gh¢2.2 Million Dinning Hall Facility To Alma Mata

The old students of Prempeh College, Amanfuor North America Chapter, through their Endowment fund, have handed over a refurbished dining hall facility, tables, and chairs worth Gh¢2.2 million cedis to their alma mata.

Speaking to Media after the colorful handing-over ceremony, the Vice President of Amanfuor North America Chapter, Mr. Daniel Owusu explained that, the reason why they chose to give back to their alma mata is because, the school shaped them to become what they are today and as such,  it is also time to give back to their school.

The colorful ceremony brought past and present students of the college together.

Mr. Daniel Owusu appealed to the students to take good care of the facility and also urged the school to ensure a culture of maintenance for the project to achieve its purpose.

He also appealed to the media to support them to propagate the message of the association to get members to come and join the association so that they can offer more developmental projects for the school.

The headmaster of Prempeh College, Mr. Aaron Attuah Gyau commended the Amanfuor North America Chapter
for their commitment to the development of the school.

He added that this initiative by the Prempeh College Old Students, North America Chapter is one of the greatest initiatives the school has had and used the opportunity to thank the old students for such an initiative.

Highlighting some of the challenges Mr. Aaron Attuah Gyau bemoaned that the abandoning of classroom blocks which was started during ex-president Kuffour’s era is heartbreaking and must be continued to serve its purposes.

He also mentioned that there are inadequate security systems and laborers in the school and as a result, the lack of these things is affecting the academic performance of the school.
