Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas declines invitation by court to testify against Nyantakyi

Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has declined Accra High Court’s order to identify himself to former president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi in the chamber before terrifying in court.

The court, which was presided over by Justice Marie Louise Simmons ruled on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, that Anas would be able to disguise himself in court but would have to identify himself to Mr. Nyantakyi first in chambers.

Prior to a statement released by the investigative firm, Tiger Eye PI announced that permitting Anas to reveal himself to Nyantakyi in the Judge’s chambers will put Anas at risk and would compromise his security and safety.

This, according to Tiger Eye PI, will not be accepted hence, he is denying this invitation made by the court and for this reason, he will not testify against Kwasi Nyantakyi in court.

This decision made by Tiger Eye PI will affect further trial hence, the final decision, prior to the case, will be made by the Attorney General.
