The National Chairman of the Concerned Drivers Association, William Osei says it will not reduce fares as announced by the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GTRCC).
According to him, they were not consulted by the GTRCC before arriving at such a decision to reduce fares by 10 percent across the country.
He argues that they do not calculate fares just by using the cost of fares.
Mr. William Osei claims that prices of oil, spare parts, booking fees, and daily sales have not gone down hence, there is no need to reduce fares.
He emphasized that they were not even consulted before the decision was taken so there is no way they will reduce fares as instructed.
He started emphatically that the 10 percent reduction will not work.
