Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North in the Bono East region, Hon. Joseph Mensah has indicated that his main aim is to make Nkoranza North’s seat an NDC seat.
The Honourable Member made this revelation when he won against his opponent, Kwame Agyei in the parliamentary primaries held at Kranka in the Nkoranza North District.
Giving his victory address, he pointed out that he wanted to secure 600 of the total votes cast but he was able to secure only 495, which is normal to get in an election as such.
He commended his contender, Mr. Kwame Agyei for his efforts and is, therefore, calling on all supporters to come forward to fight ahead in taking the seat back to the NDC.
Hon. Joseph Mensah also assured all party members that he will work together with the constituency so that the record of huge rejected ballots will not occur again.
He indicated that it is unacceptable for such a great party like the NDC to have such a record of about 50 rejected ballots on both parliamentary and presidential primaries and for that matter, he is assuring members that such an incident will not happen again.
