Road Transport Operators have reduced public transport fares by 10 percent to accommodate for the reductions in the price of petroleum products observed over the period.
Prior to a notice issued by the Road Transport Operators today, these new fares will take effect from Wednesday, 17th May 2023.
These new fares will cover shared taxis, intra-city vehicles (trotro), intercity vehicles (long-distance), and haulers.
Road Transport Operators are, however, pleading with all commercial transport operators to comply with this new fare.
