Residents of La, dressed in red apparel have demonstrated for the restoration of the La General Hospital.
The protest began from Dome and is still ongoing in the La Market in Accra.
According to some of the residents, ever since the La General Hospital was demolished three years ago, the government has not made any plans to rebuild it as it had promised.
They added that the government promised to build an ultra-modern hospital after the demolishment however the government has failed to fulfill that promise.
Member of Parliament for Ladadekotopon, Rita Naa Odofoley also lamented the failed promises of the government to rebuild the La General Hospital.
She stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has disappointed Ghanaians and as such, she, together with the people of La, is not going to rest till the government does something about this issue.
