Zonal President of Young Christian Workers (YCW), George Kodwo Banson has stated that there is a need for workers to be treated with respect because no company can thrive without them.

Speaking during the launch of the theme known as “Work, Justice, and Equality for a Dignified Life,” for this year’s commemoration of Workers Day Celebration, he emphasized the need for employers to treat their workers with respect and avoid cheating them.

Young Christian Workers is a movement that advocates for equality, respect, and dignity for workers in workplaces and as such, the movement will be holding an event known as Workers Day Celebration to honour all workers across the country.

This year’s celebration will come off on May 1, 2023, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Osu, Accra at 9:00 am.

He added that Young Christian Workers is a body that represents all workers in Ghana and as such, is ensuring that all workers are comfortably working at their various workplaces.

Speaking also, the President of Young Christian Workers, Osu, Robert Ofosu-Apea has appealed to all employers to treat their workers with respect and dignity so they can work comfortably and happily.

According to him, every worker in Ghana deserves to be treated with equality, justice, and dignity so that they can feel comfortable at work.

He is, therefore, appealing to all employers to treat their workers equally and to avoid any activity or action that will hinder any worker from giving out their best and working in a comfortable working environment.
