Chairman of the Moslems Executive Foundation, Alhaji Musah Abubakri has cautioned President Akufo Addo about the need to come out and make his stand clear on the LGBTQ+ issue.
According to him, it is quite unfortunate that all previous administrations were able to make their stand on this issue but he is surprised as to what is preventing the president from also doing so.
Addressing the media as part of this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration, Alhaji Musah Abubakari indicated that this year’s 30 days of fasting and prayers were to pray against the spread of homosexuality globally thus, President Akufo Addo needs to come out boldly and make his stand just like what his predecessors had already done.
Alhaji Musah Abubakari also used the opportunity to urge the youth to desist from all anti-social vices that can create problems for them in their lives.
Speaking also, the Chairman of the Onion Sellers Association in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Abdul Aziz also known as Alhaji Santasi, revealed that Islam is all about peace, and for that matter, there is a need for the youth to be circumspect with their movement.
He added that the celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr is to give back to the poor so it is a must to adhere to what the Quran teaches.
