The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) has revealed that the earth tremor which happened in the early hours of today in some parts of Accra was a minor incident that is not supposed to cause any harm.
The tremor happened in Ridge, High Street and other parts of Accra around 9:49am.
The GGSA explained that the tremor had a magnitude of 2.8.
Prior to a statement signed by its Acting Director General, Isaac Kuuwan Mwinbelle stated that the recorded magnitude is signifying the degree to which the tremor occurred.
GGSA is, therefore, appealing to residents that the board will relay information appropriately and inform them about such occurrences.
GGSA also advised residents to remain calm and go about their normal duties.
