My government spends on urgent and meaningful things- Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo says his government’s expenditure has only been on things that are meaningful and necessary since his assumption of office in 2017.

According to him, his government has always accounted for every borrowing.

Delivering the State of the Nation Address, President Akufo-Addo stated that his government only spent money on things that are urgent and necessary.

The AAkufo-Addo-led administration has been accused of excessive borrowing which has, however, negatively affected the economy of the country.

There is a record that predicts the Akufo Addo-led government to be a government with the most borrowing since independence.

However, the president maintained his stand that the government used the borrowings for projects the country needed.

Adding to that, President Akufo-Addo added that there are lots of activities and projects that the government needs to undertake.

He, therefore, seized the opportunity to appeal to the citizens to support the government for the betterment of the country.
