Oti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Kwadwo Gyapong, has stated that flagbearer hopefuls of the party must repeal their decision to contest for the flagbearership position.
According to him, the only candidate who has been recognized to lead the party to victory and, to redeem the country from its economic woes is former President John Mahama.
Speaking on Accra-based Hot FM, he repeated the same call.
According to Mr. Gyapong, aside from John Mahama, none of the flagbearership candidates have shown commitment and proven worthy to lead the party.
He explained that in the NDC, you are not qualified to contest for the flagbearership position if you have never been a Member of Parliament (MP) before.
Mr. Gyapong also mentioned that the aspirants must provide proof of winning a constituency election if they want to contest for the office of the presidency on the ticket of the party.
