Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu is expected to appear in parliament next week Tuesday, 7th March 2023, to answer questions pertaining to the shortage of vaccines across the country.
The Minister and other agency bosses failed to honour their invitations earlier this week by the Health Committee of Parliament regarding the shortage of vaccines in the country.
The country has been experiencing shortages in vaccines and the Health Minister has not come out clearly to address the issue and give a possible solution to this problem.
Vaccines for diseases such as measles, polio, and tuberculosis have been scarce in hospitals for some months now.
Due to this, Parliament’s Health Committee invited the Minister of Health, Ghana Health Service, Finance Minister and other agency chief executives on February 28, 2023, to address the issue however, they failed to show up for the meeting.
Presenting the business of the house for next week, Deputy Majority leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin stated that the health minister will appear in the house on Tuesday, 7th March, 2023.
