Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo has expressed his discontentment with Akufo Addo’s plan to carry on with Ghana’s 66th Independence Day Celebration amid the economic challenges.

According to him, the current economic state of the country does not deem it appropriate to observe such an event.

He said this in his tweet where he underlined his dissatisfaction with President Akufo Addo’s decision.

The actor has been calling on President Nana Akufo-Addo to call off the event set aside to observe the day Ghana gained independence.

He added that calling off the celebrations and marking the day with a broadcasted address from the President will help save the country from spending millions of Ghana cedis.
