The Residents of Dawhenya have showered praises on the Traditional Council of Dawhanya, led by Nene Tetteh Koodi Arden lV, Chief of Dawhanya, and the Dawhanya Residents Association for cutting sod for the commencement of the Ada-Kopey Ososhie Drainage system.
The drainage system is to support the two adjoining communities.
The Dawhanya road that link to Ososhie Ada-Kopey communities floods every rainy season due to the lack of a proper drainage system.
Nene Tetteh Koodi lV stated that the situation is worrying therefore it compelled him and the Residents Association to assist.
He stressed that at times, students, nurses, and traders become stranded whenever the road is flooded because they cannot go to their respective places.
He said the road linking Dawhanya and Ososhie Ada-Kopey communities has been in a deplorable state and cannot contain the high volume of the river.
Nene Tetteh Koodi IV, therefore, explained that constructing the road is above individual capacity, and therefore, appealing to the central government to intervene.
